Taler seems cool,but this is a huge no no:
Ensure your wallet is regularly online to avoid losing money due to expiration!
- alwayslikethis 2y agoWow that's a big problem. At least my monero don't expire if I leave it for a few years..
- grothoff 2y agoWe do need to expire cryptographic keys eventually, there is no sane alternative to this. Now, note that "regularly online" here could mean once every X years depending on how the system is configured.
- medo-bear 2y agoThinking about it, that is fine because Taler is meant to be a payment system, not a store of value
