Why not build a cellulose-based society?
- yjl8208 2y agoI am the OP of the permies.com link. I don't think wood contains carcinogens, and neither does cellulase. Why not eat the wood? We can build a new society where everyone is doing open-source coding and science research, perhaps even with a "Bureau of Simplification" to allow individuals to fabricate daily technologies. By the way, the reasons given by the permies themselves can be seen on the second page; I summarized them in a chart. But I want to know the software engineer side of things. Why not a cellulose-based society?
