GrubHub sold to food startup Wonder for $650M
- tootie 2y agoGigantic writedown for the previous owner
- Ekaros 2y agoAre we closing at end game? Will anyone survive? What will the prices look in aftermath? Can we go back to times when restaurants had their own staff...
- tootie 2y agoI was a dedicated grubhub user for a while until it became very obvious how much extra they were charging. My tactic now is to go the restaurant website and click whatever online ordering they prefer. Usually 5-10% cheaper. I do fondly remember the days of just calling a restaurant and paying cash on delivery, although that really is less convenient and more prone to errors. I'd think you could do something very similar just over text messaging and have fewer misunderstandings.
