- pclmulqdq 2y agoThis particular form of citation farming by asking for citations in peer review (in exchange for a favorable review of the paper) is considered "acceptable" despite being scummy. Citation selling, which seems to be broadly equivalent, is very much not. This method is also a lot older and more widespread.
