I am confused as to what the value of a 106 mile long city or a 10 mile tall building is. Neither of those seem very efficient in terms of moving things like people, supplies, water, etc. Sounds like they given up on the 10 mile tall building, but perhaps not the long ones?
- defrost 2y agoThe long line efficiency is asserted to be from no need for cars or trucks, just a set of train tracks(?) that can loop people and goods transfer from one end to the other with optimal minimal wait and walking, elevator, freight elevator, from there. The height (10 mile seems extreme) as a "wall" was pitched as long enough and high enough to create a micro climate that encouraged rainfall dump on one side or the other (I don't recall which from when I first read on this some years back).
