We bypassed the geoblock on Apple's AirPods pro hearing aids feature
- grahamj 2y agoAnyone have a reasonable source url for this?
- jamesy0ung 2y agoApparently, if you enter x-apple-health://HearingAppPlugin.healthplugin/HearingTest into Safari, it allows the hearing test in non supported regions.
- Simulacra 2y agoWhy was there ever a geoblock to begin with?
- financetechbro 2y agoI would guess it’s due to regulatory approval outside of the US
- blackeyeblitzar 2y agoIt is probably classified as a medical device in certain regions
- rsynnott 2y agoIt's basically an OTC hearing aid. Those are generally regulated, and getting the relevant authorisation takes time.
