I had an autonomous vehicle almost hit me. It didn’t understand to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk when turning at a light. I walked into their office and reported it (there’s no other mechanism that I know of). They shrugged it off. Autonomous vehicles can be done safely, but nobody and nothing is perfect so without robust error correcting and reporting systems they’ll never be safe.
