I tried: 'one or more "a"s followed by 0 or more "bb"s' which resulted in: a+bb* But it should have been a+(bb)* instead.

I tried:
'one or more "a"s followed by 0 or more "bb"s'
which resulted in:
a+bb*
But it should have been
a+(bb)*
instead.
