You still have to escape the delimiters to be safe except now they're more rare so easier to forget about. The bigger problem with CSV is all the inconsistent implementations. For example, some people want semicolons instead of commas because their culture uses commas as decimal points, so I suppose semicolon should really be the standard, if there was one.
