> In these situations, the best thing to do is to avoid rushing to fix the problem. Instead, “get curious, listen and provide the child the experience of being heard.” This is what my parents did. It taught me that communication does not get results when the other party feels "correct" and I have to force things when I have unmet needs. Anecdotal I know but it hurts me greatly reading that.
