Yeah, I usually bring up recording software on my computer for this sort of thing and just do the call on speakerphone. It's annoying how the major manufacturers all caved to things like this, just in case you _might_ be breaking the law. IANAL, but I think in CA, despite being 2-party consent, when the other party tells you they're recording the call you're allowed to also record without additional consent, but I do make sure to ask anyway, and everybody is always fine with it.
