Right, but at least it was that many. One could watch those same few anchors play together year-after-year for a decade or even longer, which is more than you could say about any other team then or since.

That is indeed how most people follow sports, yes. My point above was precisely that it's a bit silly to me. When Glavine and Maddux left Atlanta, I really did care much less about seeing the Braves play and win, because they were the guys that I most enjoyed watching.
