I don't think that's a reason. PLA and ABS were invented before the 1990's. What was this self-destructing material, and why?
- kragen 2y agoA surprising number of popular plastics are chemically unstable to one or another extent.
- foxglacier 2y agoBut not 3 days! That sounds like food or ballistic gel, which is also food, I guess.
- kragen 2y agoWell, not the formulations you buy in off-the-shelf products. But in many cases those require extensive purification and stabilization in order to be suitable for such use. PVC in particular was discovered decades before anyone figured out how to make products out of it.
