The traditional idea of military patriotism is fighting and potentially dying on the front lines, while for Zuckerberg, it is accepting lucrative government contracts and exposing his customers' data.

- SketchySeaBeast 2y agoAnd conveniently, they and their families were always very far from those front lines.
- gus_massa 2y agoOnce upon a time, the rich and powerful were leading the fights (and forcing peasants to pay taxes). King Arthur never got a sword from a strange woman lying in a pond. For a more recent example, Prince Andrew and Prince Harry have real military experience. They were not fighting in trenches with bayonets, but they were not in a 100% safe possition.
