Ironically, here on Hacker News, there is probably a sizeable cohort of programmers and managers who opened this Pandora's Box for the entire mankind. I don't blame them; they didn't know how the brave new world would turn out. But this is just one of the many consequences. People perceive the world as worse than it actually is. Because all they see on their smartphones are bad news and anxious takes.
