I do love my work in tech, I do mostly all I ever wanted, but have also interrogated my grandparents about their lifes and their hard work in the fields, and I believe they had a better life because: * money wasn't their end goal, they were able to have a large family and a house with little of it * they were not bombarded by a consumerist culture that required them to have something to be something * they were surrounded by fellow people not hierarchies * physical work is exhausting, not maddening
