What does this have over a J200 Land Cruiser? The Uday Husseins of the world are driving Urus's, this isn't flashy enough for them.
The original Humvee was meant to take a beating in extreme conditions. This seems like a finicky gimmick of an automobile in comparison.
- Fade_Dance 2y agoIt's extremely fast. This car is actually somewhat well reviewed, which really surprised me, considering I was looking at "car guy" reviews who would usually have a lot of fun lambasting something like this. It's almost literally a tank, but apparently it's fun to drive ( I suppose with the battery that massive, the center of gravity must be low...) and it has some sort of quirky appeal. I think you are right in that it competes with something like an Urus.
- inhumantsar 2y agoThe Urus costs well over twice as much and is styled like an oversized sedan. The Hummer lineup hasn't been anything like the original Humvee since the H2. It's not about being a practical off-roader for serious people, it's about being ridiculous overkill. It's designed for people who unironically love B-movies with over-the-top action and silly one-liners. It's a gimmick by design. It's a Tonka truck for adults.
