US school libraries really have Stephen King books? My one only had a mountains of (mostly) boring classics, and fairy tale books for the very young folks... no

It varies widely. When I went to school, the library was closed after the last class let out and you weren't allowed to go there during lunch. It was essentially off limits to students. The books there weren't anything to write home about either. They mostly used it to store textbooks. Other places will have pretty good libraries.
