"Alternative facts" are a thing. of course. I've seen facts dismissed with "most of what you said is a lie" by people who believe what they are saying. My favorite is someone saying "if you're fine with the absolute shitshow of recent years you haven't been paying attention", i.e. Fox tells me everything sucks, I listen to a thousand hours of that, you make one short list of contradictory facts, and it looks to me like lies and nonsense.
