This seems like a ridiculous attempt to bury your head in the sand. Is there any evidence anyone doesn't want frame pointers?

- Brian_K_White 2y agoI think it's ridiculous to question that since obviously, yes, many people have decided exactly that. I see no point myself and I'm even in the field. And I am not in charge of all the distributions which disabled it by default. So, "yes". In fact "yes, duh?" Talk about head in sand...
- PittleyDunkin 2y agoOk, where's the evidence? > I see no point myself and I'm even in the field. You don't see the point of readable stack traces?
- Brian_K_White 2y agoNope. Not on 99.999% of installed binaries in existence and running at a given moment.
- PittleyDunkin 2y agoThat strikes me as an insane take (not to mention blatantly inaccurate), but I take your point that this is a common one for distribution-maintainers to have.
