- SunlitCat 2y agoI dunno, AIs are kinda a mirror of our current society. Instead of trying to fix AIs or making laws about intersectionality in hiring processes, it could be worthwhile to look into the reasons for this outcome and try to fix them first.
- jrflowers 2y agoI like the idea that solving technical issues with language models and solving society’s problems writ large is somehow the purview of the same group of people, and also this group, of software engineers, is somehow better suited to writing laws than their current jobs. It is a perfect thought because it makes no sense whatsoever, like suggesting the Hat Man that people see on mega doses of Benadryl should be the president.
