My Windows computer is an i7-7700 series which is not compatible with Win 11 w/o hacks. I will probably convert that into a nice Linux or Proxmox system since it has 32 GB ram. I'll eventually buy a system (on sale) that ships with Win 11 Pro.
- JohnFen 2y agoIs a one-year extension meaningful, though? People have known this date was coming for years already. If they haven't already switched (either upgraded their existing installation or purchased a new machine with Win11 installed), will one more year actually matter to more than a tiny number of people? I doubt. My guess is that people haven't upgraded because they don't want to be using Win11. Those people can pay for one more year, but that's only one more year.
