Tech layoffs are at a 2-year low

  I have been getting hit up by recruiters left and right over the past 4 weeks and my conversion on applications has increased ~3x. For reference: I’m in Product and have mostly been working on Gen AI for the past ~4 years (gpt-2). While there has been stable demand, it has recently picked up quite a bit.

    This has been my experience as well. I think in a year I had maybe 2-5 recruiters reach out, and in the last 1-2 months it has been more or less every week.

        Thank you for nice comment! I already have a job I enjoy, but I still take note of the tech field economic climate by monitoring recruiter activity. Of course, the issue could always be me!

    Did you post the right link? That chart says the 5 year low was in mid 2020

      63.42 on 28 May 2020 vs 66.81 on 23 Oct 2024... Does that matter when looking at the larger problem of job openings at one of the lowest sample points of the last five years?
