In one hand, it is a short sighted protectionsm policy. but then, most of us Indoneasian cant afford it anyway. I am not sure which one make me more upset.
- jfengel 2y agoDo the Indonesians have anything to protect? Is there a native smartphone industry? In discussions of the Apple ban, it was said that they were punishing Apple for not investing as much locally as they promised. Did Google have a similar issue? And if so, what are Indonesians going to do? (The answer, I suspect, is smuggle iPhones and Androids.)
