As a Manhattan pedestrian, I think we are a poor example. When I lived in SF, where my jaywalking was much more aggressive than the norm, people would frequently follow me out into busy streets in unadvisable ways.
- mncharity 2y agoA follow-up of coincidence, fwiw: A couple of days after our conversation, a close friend stepped off the sidewalk, without this time checking the bike lane. Hip replacement recovery is expected to be some months.
