- EdwardDiego 2y ago> Having observed the Great Calcutta Killings of 1946, where the absence of British troops led to a riot that saw hundreds of thousands of Hindus butchered Citation reaaaaaalllllly needed. Also, no Muslims killed eh? Just Hindus? Sure? Jaysus.
- akkartik 2y agoYour point is well taken. I'll just say in OP's defense that it's describing an observation from a specific person's point of view at a specific point in time. And it's natural to feel the deaths in one's group more keenly than other groups. As far as the facts go, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_Action_Day https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_Action_Day seems to be about this event, and it doesn't split casualties between Hindu and Muslim. That seems like important context for sure.
