Matt Mullenweg says Automattic is 'short-staffed' amid WP Engine drama
- cratermoon 2y agoThe article also quotes Mullenweg saying, "We’ve seen a huge boost in businesses". Anyone know if that's true business? I'm thinking it's the business Automattic stole from WP Engine when they took their ACF plugin and cut off WPEngine.
- wpinsider 2y agoHe also said that he was using the situation to downsize his business. “we can serve our customers better, just more efficiently… I can see a point where Automattic reaches $1bn of revenue with fewer people than we have today.”
- ratg13 2y agoHe used the situation to downsize the business, he just didn't realize his strategy forced out the people worth keeping.
- rsynnott 2y agoBit of a leopards-eating-faces situation there, no?
- sdwr 2y agoNo, leopards eating faces is about being the victim of a policy you support (but thought would only affect other people). It's karma for being a hypocrite, but it's not every instance of karma, hypocrisy, or consequences.
