Is it a dumb projector?

  It is and not very high quality. Sorry I didn't mean to recommend everyone get a projector here or pump projectors. I just enjoy my setup and it was relatively cheap! It will do screen mirroring though. It has 2 inputs and I use those directly and it doesn't offer apps or anything from what I've seen.
