I am curious as to what OS's you've tried. Fractional scaling is flawless on Windows and KDE6 with wayland in my experience.

- wing-_-nuts 2y agoI wouldn't describe any OS as 'flawless', they're all doing what I describe under the hood. QT does have better support than GTK atm. I've also seen bad behavior on windows, esp with older apps. OS X is about the best out there, but even it can have issues with applications that have a view port (i.e. video editors, etc). I'd prefer to skip all that so I'm happy staying on 1440p until 8k monitors are where 1440p monitors are today with regard to price and quality.
- recursive 2y agoIt may well be doing what you described under the hood, but I've never seen any evidence of a performance problem as a result.
