Use Twitter lists to bypass the algorithm:
1. Create a list of accounts you want to follow at https://x.com/<your_username>/lists https://x.com/<your_username>/lists
2. Bookmark your list instead of the main feed
3. Optional: Use a browser extension to auto-redirect to your list
Result: A chronological feed without algorithmic interference.
- ziddoap 2y agoThat's great once you already have a list of interesting accounts you want to follow, but it doesn't solve the account discovery problem.
- dylan604 2y agoHow many people (percentage wise) use a browser vs app on mobile? Seems like accessing via browser would be much smaller, and I'm honestly surprised that they haven't crippled its use to "encourage" the use of the app.
- stepupmakeup 2y agoFor the past couple weeks or months, twitter has been shuffling the order of sidebar buttons to make room for new features e.g "Premium", "Grok", "Verified Orgs" "Jobs" "Communities"... with no way of disabling this helpful 'feature' or changing the order. "Lists" is now hidden in the same submenu as settings. Way to kill my muscle memory...
