What about "we were cut from the deal"? It seems like you could make a phrase in which 'cut' means "to exclude"
- keiferski 2y agoDoesn’t sound natural to me, and I couldn’t find any examples online using that phrasing to mean someone was removed from a deal. You can be cut from a team, though.
