Brits 'Love Bombing' an Average Restaurant to Keep Tourists Away from Good Ones
- taylodl 2y agoI have a simpler solution: Europe is sick of tourists? Then don't go to Europe! Why would I go to someplace where I'm not wanted to spend my time and money? I can take myself and my money elsewhere. No hard feelings. Oftentimes, those "elsewheres" tend to be more interesting places as they're typically not tourist traps. It helps to be the sort of person who enjoys going down less beaten paths.
- eesmith 2y agoHow do you tell if you are someplace where you are not wanted to spend your time and money? Why are you even going to Europe in the first place? Have you run out of less beaten paths where you live? I mean, Bill Bryson wrote books about some of these in the US, like vising Manson, Iowa to be where the Manson impact structure is located. Or visit the Alabaster Caverns State Park in Oklahoma. Or if you go to the Bandera Volcano Ice Cave in New Mexico, also stop by the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary. These are out-of-the-way places which will gladly take your tourism dollars.
