We are doing R&D on brain–computer interfaces, which (combined with some robotics) allows for moving objects with your mind. Initially for those with disabilities, and maybe eventually for teleoperation of precise machinery. But to be clear, that I hope interstellar travel may be possible in millions/billions of years is not the sole/primary justification for for space exploration.
