Why was `isascii()` removed?

- oguz-ismail 2y agoIt would yield false-positives with non-UTF-8 encoded text. Big5 <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big5#Encoding https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big5#Encoding> in particular was notorious for using ASCII values for trailing bytes. I don't know if it's still in use or if there are others.
