Perhaps Rick Beato on the music industry and the inner workings of popular music.
- giraffe_lady 2y agoFor classic rock maybe but that's a pretty small segment of music these days. He's got some insight into pop & country but almost none into hip hop and I don't think he's an expert on modern studio work in any genre. He's a little opaque about this but I don't get the sense he's played on or produced anything in the last decade. Things have changed fast.
- dumb_as_rocks 2y agoJustin Hawkins is much better... Rick Beato might be popular, but he has no songs. You can learn all the music theory in the world but it won't make you artful.
