Ask HN: What contact lenses do you wear as a tech professional?
I'm in the market to get some new contact lenses. Have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and will be asking for samples.
I prefer daily contact lenses and I need toric lenses.
Currently using Cooper Vision and they aren't great. I can't wear them all the time for work.
Looking for recommendations are there any advancements in contact lenses in recent years?

- solardev 2y agoIt really depends on your specific needs (your prescription, tolerance for dryness, cleaning preferences, etc.). Any optometrist would give you trial pairs to test out before you buy a multi-month supply. In general glasses would probably be a lot more comfortable for extended time in front of a computer. You might also want to consider Lasik, SMILE, or implantable collamer lenses (ICL). ICLs in particular can be reversed while the other two cannot.
