As they say in the article - shooting down a Cold-War era USSR SAM site isn't very impressive when Ukraine has been doing the same to Russia's modern S-400 system. That's a real embarrassment - the S-300 was never designed by the current regime so it probably just contributes to the Kremim's S-400 upsell when Iran asks about SAM imports again.
