All the men I know hung out on discord and played video games together during covid. All the wives and girlfriends cruised instagram. It was clear which was better for mental health. Video Games + Discord isn't perfect, but a lot of (mostly men) got a ton of socializing during covid via that.
- doubled112 2y agoI’m not sure about anybody else, but I didn’t have a ton of friends in my area. I also didn’t have a lot of time to do anything about it. Between removing the commute and finally being forced to stop racing around with the kids, it gave me time to meet some good people right in the neighbourhood and make friends. I could see finally having time to spend sitting around gaming with friends having the same approximate effect.
