I've upvoted your post cause I find alternatives interesting, but you should really add a simple example on the readme page. While I heard several times of CUE before, I still need a refreshes example cause I don't use it.
Also Loom is not a good substitute for this because, 1) I got two separate modals when acessing the loom, 2) the code is rather small on mobile without going fullscreen, 3) while I browse for news I prefer to read/skim quickly not to watch videos
