I am not sure what it measures, but my privacy enhanced Firefox for browsing seems to show random numbers every time I load this URL and I always stay "unique". Another browser shows "signature stats". If I use my firefox, this won't even show.

- nerdponx 2y agoThat's because all of the content blocking actually results in a very distinct fingerprint. If you want to be un-fingerprintable, you need to look like a lot of other people.
- jvanderbot 2y agoUnless there's a way to randomize your fingerprint. If truly random, it's probably v hard to say it's one person, two, three, etc with a huge db full of unique signatures originating from a known VPN exit.
- Jerrrry 2y agoServe sketchy uncorrelated users a subtle challenge that is unknowingly asymmetrically unique. Maybe like a captcha.
- IggleSniggle 2y agoIt doesn't matter if you're fingerprintable if your fingerprint is distinct on every visit.
- Jerrrry 2y agoIt is if you're the only one doing it. To hide a signal in noise, there must be noise.
- IggleSniggle 2y agoIf you're the only one doing it, sure, but if none of your information is reliable at all, then every single other "totally unique" visitor is in the same category as you. From the other end, it could be 10,000 visitors or 1, all you know is that they are unique...since they look like a different totally unique fingerprint on every visit
- ruthmarx 2y agoYou're running too much stuff. Privacy badger and ublock together is a bad idea for example.
- yjftsjthsd-h 2y agoWhat problem does it cause?
- ruthmarx 2y agoAmong other things clashing and locks and possible conflicting rules on whether or not to block or allow something

- ementally 2y agoMost of these extensions/add-ons are useless and actually makes your fingerprint more unique. https://github.com/arkenfox/user.js/wiki/4.1-Extensions#-dont-bother https://github.com/arkenfox/user.js/wiki/4.1-Extensions#-don...
- Beijinger 2y agoI thought so too but they make me so "unique" that I stay unique with every visit. With 1000 visits I may have 1000 unique fingerprints.
