It's a really bad time to enter the industry right now. We're still going through layoffs left and right (partially a market correction of covid overhiring, probably partially also fear of AI replacing many of us or making companies irrelevant). I'd reconsider this if I were you...
But if you really want to, you can maybe try to get your foot in the door either through the verticals you have experience with (like hospitality software or construction management software or building design software, etc.)
You can also try online courses to see if you like any particular part of the industry, such as programming, UX design, cybersecurity, etc... or of course all the latest AI stuff.
Your local community college might also have internships & job placements, which can help you get your foot in the door.
But I don't think anyone is hiring inexperienced people right now. There's still too many people out of work with years of experience, and AI is getting better and better, so many of our current roles may vanish or at least shrink in the years to come.
Sorry OP. The situation was pretty different 5 years ago, and if you had this change of mind during COVID, it would've been a much easier time to get in.
Sometimes these things are cyclical though, so maybe things will recover in a few years. Wouldn't count on it, though... =/
