So you just... never delete stuff?

  I occasionally delete stuff in Finder by dragging into the trash can. Generally, for any "bulk deletes", I use the shell.

    And I'm quite sure this is the cumbersome method consumer-level Mac users wade through day after day. Even if you have a full-sized keyboard with a Delete key, you're stymied by Apple's bizarre ignorance of its own trash can in Finder. If you select stuff in Finder and press Delete, nothing happens. It should move it to the trash can, which Windows users have managed to handle for decades. But nope; there's not even an OPTION to make it work. Mac users also submit to needing double the keystrokes they should to delete characters, hitting the right arrow key over and over to get past stuff they want to delete and then Backspacing it away.
