I, for one, complain about this stuff because it's a defect I have to fix if I happen to see it in someone's copy. It also might be a frequency illusion [1]. [1] The illusion in which a word, a name or other thing that has recently come to one's attention suddenly appears "everywhere" with improbable frequency. Sometimes called "The Baader-Meinhof phenomenon".
