- JohnFen 2y agoThe best doctor I ever had didn't accept insurance. He charged market rates, but in line with the rates doctors charge insured patients rather than the (higher) rates charged to uninsured patients. He did this to minimize his operating expenses. I still had my insurance cover visits, but I had to pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed myself.
