  A global community project forced to comply with particular government edicts and competitions. And the project leader happily doubling up in the nationalistic divide (while of course upholding double standards in this matter for other countries).

    Russian developers are welcome to fork, but we’re past the point of community-projects-get-to-ignore-laws.

      Those laws are stupid and huge double standards in the first place (on top of being not effective and backfiring). But even so, it's not just about Linus merely following the law (of course he'd have to, what can you do). The sad thing is cheerfully advocating for this too.
