This was the number 1 story on Hacker News for the first 25 minutes after I posted this, and then it dropped immediately to the second page.
It seems that my first blog post submitted to Hacker News got de-promoted?
That sucks.
- arp242 2y agoLots of comments in a short time can trigger the "flamewar detector", which downranks a story. Also wouldn't be surprised if some of the extremely aggressive RISC-V fanboys I've seen around have flagged your post for your blasphemy against their Lord and Saviour of Chips, which also downranks the story. You can email HN about it to get a more detailed explanation if you want.
- bhouston 2y agoThanks for the suggestion! Apparently a mod had down weighted it, but they reconsidered after I emailed then! So thanks!
- BenjiWiebe 2y agoI've emailed the mods several times, and always got a good (and quick) response. The mods here are awesome.
