The worst thing about Facebook is that you probably have contacts that don't appreciate the severity of a lot of Facebook's moves. So you keep the account because the communication is nicely convenient. Thus you continue to use it, given several alternatives, as the best of a bad bunch (because no-one uses the others). This never bodes well.
