- rayiner 2y agoThe Bangladesh high court ruling that reinstated the quota system and quite likely was the catalyst for the subsequent overthrow of the government was completely devoid of legal standards: https://www.supremecourt.gov.bd/resources/documents/2110398_W.P.No.6063of2021.pdf https://www.supremecourt.gov.bd/resources/documents/2110398_... The high court found a constitutional right to the quota even though it wasn’t in the text of the constitution. Textualism could have saved the government.
