- 082349872349872 2y agoIn year 1966, there was "High-Optional, Logical, Multi-evaluating Supervisor, Mark IV, Mod. L" (aka Mycroft Holmes...) [when reading this book young me wondered why Heinlein went into so much detail about cell structure, but now that I've seen "apolitical militia" units organising over Facebook, I'm willing to admit he may have had a reason to believe he needed to wax didactic]
- 082349872349872 2y agoI'd been thinking about this possibility when answering https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=41870522 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=41870522 , but ATM I'm still of the mind that it's applying a technical bandaid to the social problem that despite the relative ease of the problem even for wetware, people see to be either unwilling or unable to identify consensus, when unaided.
