I don't think these things go together. I enjoy writing poems, one could argue writing poems makes no sense. If you look at coding as a tool to reach a goal, I would agree no need to learn it (like book printing). If you look at coding as a tool of creativity, it is still relevant (just like manual book printing with a manual printing press).
